Agrigeos for the resilience of fruit crops: our contribution to the VALFRUIT project

The challenges posed by climate change – increased temperatures, water scarcity, biotic stress – are strongly impacting Italian fruit production.
To address them, it is necessary to innovate: identify new genetic pools, improve existing varieties, and implement sustainable biotechnological approaches.

This is the context in which it fits VALFRUIT (Valuation of genetic resources to improve fruit crops), project funded under the Spoke 1 of the National Agritech Center, which aims to Create genetic materials and knowledge to develop more resilient and sustainable fruit crops.

Agrigeos participates as center of expertise, bringing a specific contribution in Phenotyping of citrus fruits obtained through Assisted Evolution Techniques (TEA) in conditions of abiotic stress, using the system Plantarray to accurately analyze the response of the plants.

📅 The project results will be presented in Valfruit webinar, scheduled Tuesday 28 October from 16:30 to 18:30.
Participation is free and entitles to a certificate of recognition. Professional Training Credits (CFP) for agronomists, foresters and agricultural technicians.
